Journey into the Heart of the Himalayas: Driving from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
After breakfast, you'll begin the drive to your next destination - Dhunche (2000m / 127 km / 6 hrs) or Syabrubesi (1600m / 141 km / 7 hrs) or Timure (1983m / 152 km / 8hrs) where you'll spend the night in a lodge.
Scenic Drive to Kerung County: Exploring the Himalayan Landscape (2850m)
After driving to either Rasuwagadhi (1800m) which is only 15 km and 45 minutes away from Syabrubesi or taking a short 10 to 15-minute walk to the border from Timure, you will complete immigration and custom formalities on both the Nepal and Tibet side at Rasuwagadhi. Afterward, you will continue your drive to Kerung County (2850m) which is approximately 40 km and 1 hour away. You will spend the night at a guesthouse.
Scenic Drive to Saga: Crossing High Altitude Passes and Picturesque Landscapes (4550m)
After breakfast, you will drive to Saga (220 km – 5 to 6 hrs). You will have breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner at Saga. You will stay at the Saga Hotel or similar.
Journey to Sacred Mansarovar Lake from Saga (4550m)
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive towards Manasarovar Lake (450km – 6 – 7hrs), passing through beautiful places. Upon arrival, soak in the spiritual ambiance and take a dip in the holy waters of the lake. Next, embark on a Parikrama of Manasarovar Lake by vehicle (3 hrs – 90 km). You will be provided with breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner at a lakeside lodge.
Journey to the Gateway of Kailash: Driving to Darchen (4650m)
After performing Puja (prayer ritual) for most of the day at Manasarovar Lake, you will embark on a 1-hour, 35km drive to Darchen. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided at a shared guesthouse.
Embarking on the Outer Kora Trek: Trekking to Dirapuk (4860m)
You will take a Short drive to Tarboche, visit Yama Dwar, and then embark on a 12 km trek (5-6 hours) to Dirapuk (4860m) to pay respects to Mt. Kailash. If some travelers prefer not to trek, they can return to Darchen and wait for the group. Meals for the day include breakfast at Darchen, packed lunch, and dinner.
Challenging Trek to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La Pass - Second Day of Outer Kora
You will embark on a challenging trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass and continue towards Zuthulpuk (22 km trek for 8-9 hours). This leg of the journey involves a strenuous ascent to 5700 ft and a descent to Gaurikund, followed by a trek along the river to Zuthul-puk. Non-trekkers will wait at Darchen. Meals provided include breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner.
You have leisure time until your departure, and later you will be transferred to the airport, 2 hours prior to the scheduled flight. Breakfast will be provided.
