Ghorepani Poon hill trekking is rightly one of the most popular short trekking in Nepal. Ghorepani trek offers much natural diversity, cultural variety and magnificent Himalayan views. Poonhill(3200m) is the best point for a camera to catch the panoramic views of Machhapuchhre(Fishtail),Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and many more mountains. Poonhill trek starts from Nayapul an hour drive from Pokhara. In the beginning of trek village life, culture, terrace view, waterfalls & green hill’s view can be enjoyed.

The highlights of Ghorepani trek are: Birethati water fall, Sunrise and stunning mountains view from Poon hill, beautiful and cultural Ghandruk village and Pokhara. Ghorepani Trek can be done all rounds the year in this area and good trekking lodges are available there for accommodation and fresh cooked food run by local people.This is short trekking so maximum 4 to 5 days is enough.

Day 1:

Arrival in Kathmandu

Our representative will receive you from International airport and transfer to the Hotel. Evening: Briefing about the trip in the hotel.

Day 2:

Drive to Pokhara

The drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara is 7 hours on a tourist bus. Trekking staff will arrive at your Hotel at 6:30AM in the morning to pick you up then the bus will leave around 7:00AM to Pokhara. If you want to fly to Pokhara instead of taking the long journey by bus, this is also possible. There are several flights to Pokhara from 9 am in the morning to 3 pm in the afternoon which offers a splendid view of the Himalayas in the north. Pokhara is a picturesque lake town nestled in the shadow of the Himalayan Peaks and is the suitable startup point for trekking. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3:

Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri(2080m)

After breakfast, drive to Nayapul takes about one and half hour. Prepare all trekking gears and trek to Ulleri (2,080 m.): We start trekking following Bhurungi Khola and reach Tikhedhunga. After lunch in Tikhedhunga we ascend about 2 hours to Ulleri for overnight.

Day 4:

Trekking to Ghorepani(2855m)

Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,855 m.): Ascend to Ulleri Village through a pleasant Rhododendron forest and arrive at the top of Ghorepani pass for overnight stay.

Day 5:

Trekking to Tadapani(2630m)

Ghorepani to Tadapani the trek gradually goes up through the thick forest with descend to Banthanti where the lunch will be served. After Banthati it is around 2 hours hike up to Tadapani. Mt. Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhere (Fish Tail) and other snowy mountains can be seen beautifully from here.

Day 6:

Trek to Ghandruk(2000m)

Today is an easy trek descending all the way from Tadapani to Ghandruk. After lunch we visit the Ghandruk village, an unique village of Gurungs.

Day 7:

Trek back to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara

Ghandrung to Pokhara (1980m): Walk downwards to Saulee Bazaar and a easy walking to Nayapul where our vehicle waits to transfer us to Pokhara. Afternoon: sightseeing of Pokhara city.Evening: fare well dinner with Nepalese cultural program. Overnight in Pokhara.

Drive or fly Pokhara to Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu approx 6 hours (200 kms). End of the program.
