Bhutan Tour Package is an excellent option for those with only limited time,this Bhutan short tour takes you by air from Kathmandu to Paro. Bhutan’s second largest town set in an exquisite valley beneath the majestic Paro Dzong (fort). Here you will visit the dzong itself., the monastic and administrative heart of this area, as well as the famed Tiger’s Nest Monastery-Taktsang. Then it is on the Thimphu, Bhutan’s tiny capital nestled in a broad, beautiful valley about 2 hours drive from paro. Here you will visit the great Tashicho Dxong, the seat of government in Bhutan. This magnificent building was erected without use of a single metal nail or support. You will also have a chance to buy some of Bhutan’s famous weaving here in the Handicrafts Center and have time to wander around this unique town and take in the atmosphere of this extraordinary Himalayan kingdom. You then head back to Paro for the flight to Kathmandu.

Bhutan is a remote independent kingdom in the eastern Himalaya and the last bastion of the Tibetan Buddhist culture and religion in its purest form. Despite opening up to tourism in the late 70’s it has managed to minimise the effect of outside influences and the country is virtually untouched, in terms of the environment, religion, architecture and lifestyle. Bhutan has the youngest reigning monarch in the world, King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, who guards Bhutan’s culture and national identity fiercely.

Day 05: After breakfast transfer to Paro Airport for taking onward connection.

Day 1:

Arrival at Paro Airport – Thimphu

On arrival at Paro Airport and after completing your Visa / Permit formalities you will be received by our Bhutan representative who will assist you in boarding your vehicle for transfer to Thimphu (2320Mts / 7656Fts, 65 Kms / 01½ to 02 Hrs), Thimphu is the capital town of Bhutan. Evening free at Leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2:

Thimphu – Wangdi / Punakha Excursion – Thimphu

After breakfast drive to Wangdi (Wangdiphodrang) (1350Mts / 4430Fts, 70 Kms / 03 to 3½ Hrs One way). Wangdi is the last town on the highway before entering Central Bhutan. The drive is over Dochu La pass (3080Mts / 10102Fts) which is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. At Punakha visit Punakha Dzong, Chimi Lhakhang (Monastery), Evening you drive back to Thimphu. Overnight at the Hotel.

Thimphu - Paro

After breakfasts go for Thimphu sightseeing covering – Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, Buddha Point (KuenselPhodong), Changangkha Lhakhang (Monastery) (Closed for Renovation), Motithang Takin Preservation Centre (Closed on Every Monday), DrupthobGoemba / Zilukha Nunnery, National Library (Closed on Saturday , Sunday & National Holiday), Institute for ZorigChusum (Traditional Art & Craft School-Closed on Saturday , Sunday, National Holiday & During Summer & Winter Vacations), Textiles Museum (Handicrafts Shops - Closed on Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Zangthopelri Lhakhang (Monastery). Later transfer to Paro (2200Mts / 7656Fts, 65 Kms / 01½ to 02 Hrs). On arrival Paro, check in to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Paro

After breakfast go for Paro Sightseeing covering Ta Dzong (National Museum-Closed on National Holiday), Rinpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang (Monastery),Back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel. Or Paro - Full Day Hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (tiger`s nest) Start the day early for a day hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger's Nest Monastery)-The hike which is all the way uphill takes about 2 /3 hours one way through pine forests. Afternoon at leisure for go for shopping in the market. Overnight at Hotel.

Paro - Onward Connection

After breakfast transfer to Paro Airport for taking onward connection.
